For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 NKJV)

The bible has many verses about love. However, John 3:16 is a perfect example of the depth of God’s love for mankind. He gave His only son to suffer death for our sake so that we can be forgiven for our sins and by believing in Christ Jesus we will not perish but have everlasting life. What a perfect demonstration of God’s love for us!

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV, tells us that, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”

As you go through your activities today, take a moment to reflect on the importance and power of love, the love of God, the love for self and the love for others.

Have a blessed day…
