Hello Fans!

It’s been a while since I have reached out to you, however, I want you to know that your prayers, support and kind wishes have kept me going and I really appreciate that.

Well, there was Kansas Relays (200m -1st), Kingston (200m – 2nd), Shanghai (100m – 1st), and Ostrava (100m -1st) since I last wrote to you. All of those meets were special in their own way. I have taken a liking to Kansas Relays as it brings back memories of my early years in the US College system having started at Barton County Community College back in 2001. The event in Kingston allows me to go back home where I get a chance to see my family, even briefly, and of course, get some good “down home” cooking. It was my group mates Terrence Trammell and Porscha Lucas’ first time in Kingston so our group treated them to some of the best jerk chicken on the island.

In Shanghai the warmth of the organizers was there as usual making it one of the meetings I look forward to each season. During my trip to Shanghai, I celebrated my birthday, this was actually on the day of my race so in a sense, I gave myself a birthday present.
I was in Ostrava for the very first time and must say that the organizers went out of their way to make not just myself but all the athletes feel special. The crowd was appreciative and knowledgable making it a great evening for the sport. No wonder I ran a personal best…lol.

I am in final preparation mode for the Jamaican Trials to be held in Kingston June 23-26 and as always, I crave your continued prayers and support.

“God Bless”
Veronica
